Refund Policy
1. Scope and Applicability
This refund policy applies to all landscaping services provided by Melby's Landscaping, a small team of two, operating in Redding, CA. We aim to deliver quality work and satisfactory service, but being a small operation, we ask for understanding regarding the limitations involved.

2. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds will be considered only in the following cases:

Services not performed as agreed upon in the contract.

Significant quality issues clearly caused by workmanship (not due to weather, client maintenance, or natural causes).

Cancellations initiated by the company without adequate notice (less than 48 hours).

Defective materials supplied by our company (if applicable).
3. Non-Refundable Conditions

Refunds are not issued for issues arising from environmental conditions, weather-related damage, or client neglect/maintenance errors.

Custom or specially ordered materials may not be refundable once procured.

Minor aesthetic preferences or subjective dissatisfaction with landscaping design that does not breach the original contract terms.
4. Refund Request Process

Customers should submit refund requests in writing (email preferred) within 10 calendar days following the completion of service.

Requests must include a clear description of the issue, supported by photos if possible.

Due to our small team size, we may need to schedule a site visit or discussion to assess the claim before deciding on a refund.
5. Refund Issuance

Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method within 21 calendar days of approval.

Partial refunds may be issued when only part of the service or materials were unsatisfactory.

Alternatively, we may offer to re-perform the service or replace defective materials instead of a refund.
6. Deposits and Cancellations

Deposits made prior to service are refundable if the customer cancels with more than 72 hours' notice.

Cancellations with less than 72 hours' notice may result in forfeiture of deposit to cover preparatory costs.
7. Limitations Due to Small Team Capacity

As a two-person company, our capacity for immediate remediation or extensive refunds is limited. We prioritize clear communication and prompt resolution but appreciate patience for scheduling any follow-up work.

We reserve the right to deny refund requests deemed frivolous or outside the contractual scope.
8. Dispute Resolution

We strongly encourage direct contact to resolve any disputes amicably.

In the rare event of unresolved issues, both parties agree to seek mediation before pursuing formal legal action.
